The tour administrator, Valerie Papaya Mann has traveled to Ghana for the past 22 years, and lived there for almost 5 years. Having organized numerous tour groups over the years, she has taken more than 300 people to The Motherland. She is enstooled (ceremoniously bestowed a royal family title and responsibilities) as a Queen Mother amongst The Akwamu Traditional Indigenous People. She has spearheaded many philanthropic projects that included building toilets for a school, lead Medical missions and took doctors and nurses to Ghana who treated almost a 1000 patients, and has personally and through groups donated thousands of dollars’ worth of school supplies, computers and clothing to those in need.
